ARTRAGE is a non-for-profit registered charity that is one of the oldest arts organisations in WA.
Alongside FRINGE WORLD Festival, ARTRAGE also currently produces Rooftop Movies (est. 2012) and other exciting projects in Perth like Girls School (2018-2022).

The origin of ARTRAGE was as the Festival Fringe Society of Perth, established in 1983 and in 1988 the organisation decided to move the Fringe from summer to spring, and to re-brand it as Artrage Festival which ran until 2008.
Through the 1990s and early 2000s, ARTRAGE worked on multiple projects, engaging local artists and championing innovative arts practices. ARTRAGE opened The Bakery, a live performance venue, exhibition space and a specialised music venue.
In February 2011, after vigorous industry consultation, a pilot program of FRINGE WORLD was staged and in 2012 the first FRINGE WORLD was presented as a four-week Festival, featuring 200+ events, 40+ venues and $1 million in tickets sold.
Alongside the full Festival launch in 2012, ARTRAGE also presented its first cinema program, Rooftop Movies. This popular and picturesque summer cinema pops up on the top floor of the CPP Roe St carpark from October – March annually.
Since, ARTRAGE has also been known for its development and collaboration on programs such as A Midnight Visit, Girls School Cinema and The Rocky Horror Picture Show Immersive Halloween Spectacular.
