The Rocky Horror Picture Show Immersive Spectacular show has finished an awesome tour run!

We had a blast visiting twelve towns across the Wheatbelt, Great Southern, South West and Kalgoorlie-Esperance regions, as well as a season ending performance in Perth.

ARTRAGE Projects Manager Courtney Meagher said that the tour was part of ARTRAGE’s approach to delivering more year-round content, providing more opportunities for audiences and artists.

“The show was quintessentially ARTRAGE, offering a fun show that’s filled with surprises, taking something treasured and making it into something new.” Ms Meagher said.

ARTRAGE Projects Producer Kaitlin Tinker went on the road with the show for much of the tour and said that the artists loved showcasing their work to regional audiences.

“For the artists, touring a show as large as this was a definite career highlight. The joy backstage was unmistakeable. Audiences were on their feet cheering every night – and swamping the artists at the end with praise and requests to come back to their town. No one ever seemed ready to leave the venue and go home!”

Some fun facts about the tour:

  • 24 shows were presented at 13 venues
  • 8 WA artists starred in the show
  • Sold out shows in Albany, Bunbury and Manjimup
  • Over 3,000 attendees enjoyed the show
  • Our artists conducted four free workshops for communities in Moora (Jazz Fusion), Albany (Vogue Dance), Kojonup (Circus/Acro), Margaret River (Costume Making). People of all ages attended, from seniors to school groups.
