FRINGE WORLD Site Manager

Position: FRINGE WORLD Site Manager

Location: The role is based at festival locations in and around Perth as required.

The role:

The FRINGE WORLD Site Managers will work within the Production Department in the build, maintenance, and operations of all FRINGE WORLD managed festival sites pre, during and post festival. The major working relationships will be with all onsite operational staff, contractors, and festival patrons.

Site Managers require a passion for troubleshooting, crew management and forward planning. The primary purpose of this role is to plan, deliver and maintain a safe and functional festival hub site.

This is a challenging, fast-paced role at the heart of the Production team and will suit a hands-on, active and curious mind.

FRINGE WORLD are recruiting a team of Site Managers, sharing daytime and evening operations with a weekly rotating roster.

FRINGE WORLD Technical Staff

Position: FRINGE WORLD Technical Staff

Contract Period: General engagement period of 4th January to 22nd February 2025 with some roles commencing in December 2024.
Working Hours: Full-time and Casual as per the rostered production schedule.
Location: The role is based at festival locations in and around Perth as required.

The role:

FRINGE WORLD Technical Staff are fixed-term, full-time employees that focus on the delivery of the technical operation of the festival.

The primary purpose of FRINGE WORLD Technical Staff is to contribute to the daily running of an allocated venue or site using their focused skill set in the areas of Stage Management, Sound, Lighting, Staging, or Rigging. 

The role will require daily venue operation duties such as lighting or sound operation, technical rehearsals, show changeovers, completing show documentation such as show reports, and technical bump in and out.

FRINGE WORLD Front of House

The roles:

FRINGE WORLD is looking for passionate, hardworking people to provide excellent customer service as part of the Front of House (FOH) team for the 2025 FRINGE WORLD Festival.

The Front of House team is pivotal to the operations at the Fringe World Hub venues, as such we're looking for people with confident, enthusiastic and approachable natures coupled with strong interpersonal, operational and verbal communication skills. We are looking for a number of staff for multiple roles, including:

  • FOH Venue Supervisor
  • FOH Usher

FRINGE WORLD Festival Fringefeed Reviewers

The role:

FRINGE WORLD is offering a unique opportunity for Perth writers who love FRINGE WORLD and who want to be involved in the 2025 Festival by contributing reviews to Fringefeed.

Fringefeed is a fun and informative, one-stop shop for FRINGE WORLD news and reviews.

This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity to contribute during the Festival (17 January to 16 February). This opportunity is suitable for writers who want to volunteer their time with a not-for-profit arts organisation, develop their writing skills and build a portfolio of published work.

Fringefeed Reviewers must attend a minimum of four FRINGE WORLD events during the 2025 Festival and submit reviews within 24 hours.

Plus, Reviewers receive free tickets to events they are reviewing!

Site and Build Crew

Position: Site and Build Crew
Applications close: Sunday 24th November 2024
Contract Period: As rostered. FRINGE WORLD Festival December 2024 - March 2025
Location: This is an active on-site role and will be based across all relevant ARTRAGE Event sites when required.

The role:

The Site and Build Crew will assist the Production Department with workshop builds, onsite carpentry, signage and design installations, venue construction and site dressing across all ARTRAGE sites.

Site and Build Crew require a passion for creation, assembly and installation and the successful candidates will have proven construction and/or event experience.
